The CCTV building is a huge and impressive modern building in Beijing in the CBD area. I think I have only gone pass this building once or twice during my one year’s posting in Beijing. But the architecture is like an amazing piece of abstract art rising 52 storeys above the ground that you will never probably forget it in your life once you have seen it. I cannot recall if there were any private television networks in China but all the channels in the local TV that I have seen were from CCTV (China Central Television) which is State owned. Therefore I was able to relate to the CCTV building when I saw it in real life.
