Actually the hotels in China, even the cheap ones, offer the guests a huge amount of hotel freebies to make their stay comfortable and pleasant. And it gets better if you are staying in mid-priced or luxury hotels range. For example, in Changzhou we stayed in our regular family hotel chain, the Holiday Inn. This particular one was called the “Holiday Inn Changzhou Wujin”. Now, I am not entirely sure why I had started taking pictures of everything in the hotel room that day. There was no way that I could have known that I would be writing a post about this 10 years later. Anyways, the hotel room had a service directory, complimentary water bottles, vanity kits, choice of firm and soft pillows, dinner menu, bathroom sandals, tooth brush, tooth paste, snacks, a stocked mini-fridge, paper and pens and complimentary coffee and tea packets. In some hotels, I remember that they even give a complimentary razor kit with shaving cream in a tube. Like you can just walk into a hotel room with nothing on you and you will be still quite okay in China.
