A Japanese ramen place called Ajisen in Shanghai

Shanghai. 2009

We never actually ate Japanese or Mexican while growing up in Singapore. Always just sticking to Indian, Chinese, Malay and American fast-food. Only in Shanghai that we opened our minds to other food and thereafter coming to Australia. One of the places we frequented often in Shanghai was the Japanese fast-food chain Ajisen where we often had starters like spring rolls and various rice dishes and of course ramen. The place was always crowded, the staff very professional and the food was out of this world.
