After relocating from Shanghai to Shenyang, I became interested in keeping fishes. It was something that I had done on and off throughout my life but I was more serious about it in Shenyang. I had more time in my hand as I was living alone and it was really cheap to set-up and maintain an aquarium in Shenyang. This is a photo I snapped at a downtown shopping centre that day and it eventually became my motivation to set-up my own small aquarium one day. I will write about it another day. What I totally loved was the design concept of the live plants growing out of drift wood on a bed of black stones with the tiny fishes swimming around.
