People in daily life are far away from international politics

Sep 2014. Anshan

I have lived and worked in China for ten years from 2009 to 2018. Shanghai five years, Shenyang four years and one year in Beijing. And I have also travelled a bit in China. Overall, the Chinese are very friendly people. Initially they may be shy to speak to a foreigner but beyond words and language, they are really warm at heart. Shanghainese and Beijing people may appear a little aristocratic but they are also nice people if you don’t go to them with a pompous foreigner attitude. What you read in the news is the politics of nations. The heart of the people of China is different altogether. And you can only feel it if you are there in person.
