The lowest it can get in winter in Shanghai was about 2-5 degrees centigrade. It will snow couple of days intermittently and then it will go away when the sun came. Going from a tropical climate of 30-33 degrees centigrade in Singapore to this was a real change. But it was not really that bad and it was quite manageable. Here are some pictures of winter in Shanghai, outside my house, in my residential compound and from nearby roads. Of course this was nothing compared to what was waiting for me in Shenyang where I went to work couple of years later where it was – 25 degrees centigrade. That was real winter.
