I lived in an high rise apartment building about 20 minutes drive from my office. It was gated and had security guard posts at both the front and back gates. You need a key chain token with a chip to open the gates to enter. There were several grocery shops surrounding the compound, some of which you can enter from the inside of the compound. Most of the people living here were families with young kids. You can always see mummies and grannies with kids in the playground, school buses picking up kids etc. I think I was the only foreigner living in my compound. Most people minded their own business and never bothered about me. Some people in the compound try to have a chat with me. But mostly the people were friendly, kind and polite.
