This was another cheap dish which I used to try when I first moved to Shenyang in 2014. And I still ate it over the years because I loved it for its simplicity, taste and the meditative moments it offered. This photos was taken in 2018, the year I left Shenyang and China, and was probably the last time I had it.
The dish was basically leftover pork bones seasoned and boiled in some sort of a broth and then served dry on a plate. Eating this dish actually helps you to improve your chopstick skills. I will practically sit there picking every single morsel of meat from the bones for an hour accompanied by Shenyang’s famous “Snow” beer.
