After 4.5 years with BMW’s joint venture in China, BMW Brilliance Automotive, I left the company in June 2018 with a heavy heart. BMW was a great brand, the company was a great place to work and the colleagues were really nice. I was fortunate to work on so many interesting change and communication projects which really pushed me and brought out the best in me. I learned and grew a lot but I also gave a lot back to the company. Apart from other farewell activities, one of the things I did on my last day was to go around and give some chocolates to the ladies who cleaned my table everyday and to the security guards who greeted me everyday at the lobby during all those years. We didn’t know each others names. We never had a long conversation. But I could always see kindness, friendship and duty on their face every morning when I come to work. Wherever they are now and whatever they are doing now, I wish them happiness, health and success in life.
