When I arrived in Beijing, I stayed in a small hotel called “Home Inn” for couple of weeks until I found an apartment. The hotel was near my office, the rooms were basic and the hotel staff were friendly. The only flip side was that there were no supermarkets around the hotel and also not too many dining options. But I was new to Beijing and I just arrived. I am grateful as this hotel gave me a place to settle down and to organise myself for my one year’s posting in Beijing.
