Well, I wouldn’t call this a positive example of Chinese ingenuity. But I still thought it was hilarious. I have mentioned that using public spaces for your work, throwing waste water outside etc are common behaviours in China. I know that this is not acceptable for many other cultures but in China it is quite common. So I guess the thinking in this particular situation must have been, well I can’t find a place to drip dry my mop. Well, how about the forking tree?
