I just joined the company in Jan 2014 and started working in Datong Plant. And we were relocating to a newly built plant in a place called Tiexi soon. I had no idea where it was. I was initially looking for an apartment in the Datong area but now refocused to look at the Tiexi area. My manager who hired me had moved onto to a new function and the new incoming manager was still in the onboarding process. I was new and didn’t know many people at that time. I was feeling anxious about the company, the department, the colleagues, the role and the apartment-hunting topics. Of course, all these were absolutely normal in any new job, especially if you had to relocate. You have to accept this and give allowance for this.
