There is a place most foreigners living in Shanghai would love to go, other than the locals and that’s the Shanghai Fabric Market. Occupying a few floors on a building plus some additional shops in adjacent areas, this is the place to go if you want to tailor something at wholesale prices or if you are a tailoring enthusiast. My Singapore auntie loves to make something out of her sewing machine whenever she is free back in Singapore and I brought her here to take a look. She was absolutely blown away by the range of materials available here and the low prices.
