The truth is that, China is so old that there is history everywhere you go, only if you care to see it. Since I was new to Shenyang, I spent my first year there visiting various places of interest and one of them was the Shenyang Imperial Palace or the Mukden Palace. It was the former palace of the Later Jin dynasty and the early Qing dynasty from 1625 to 1644. Today it is a museum and is included into the UNESCO World Heritage List. I have been there altogether four times during my four years in Shenyang for various occasions. But I have to say truthfully that it was only marginally interesting compared to the Forbidden City in Beijing.
