Aug 2014. Shenyang

91% of the 1.4 billion people in China belong to the Han ethnic group while the remaining belong to 55 minor ethic groups. One of these minorities are the Manchurians who originally came from present-day Northeast China and parts of the Russian Far East. They founded the Qing dynasty in the 1600s and ruled China for about 300 years. The Qing dynasty was the largest in China’s history and the fourth largest empire in world history in terms of territorial size. The Qing emperors didn’t use the Beijing’s palace and decided to built own palace in Shenyang in 1625. It was called the Mukden Palace or the Shenyang Imperial Palace.
