The organisers of the night market mark each stall on the ground with a chalk showing the boundary and the stall number. I am not entirely sure how the night market stalls are allocated. Maybe they do a raffle or maybe its based on a pricing mechanism. But the thing is that you can be allocated a stall anywhere along this 1-2 kilometre stretch. If you are lucky, you might get a stall exactly under a street lamp. Or you may end up in a dark spot and you need to sort out your own lighting. This pet fish shop is not in the best location but they brought their own lights and to create this surreal scene. Nice.
