I walked around my hotel in Benxi wondering what to have for dinner when I stumbled across couple of street food stalls. I discovered yet another Chinese street dish which is basically fried quail eggs on a stick. You brush a mold with oil and break four quail eggs in. Slide in a wooden skewer in the center and flip over to fry the other side and then finally add some seasonings. I thought it was a pretty ingenious street food concept. I bought a stick to try. It was hot inside but crispy and delicious.
