Purely based on the many years of eating and cooking lentil curry in my life, I can guess with a high level of confidence that this is lentil curry. My guess is based on the visible ingredients as well as the texture of the curry. The “Indian Kitchen” restaurant in Shanghai offers both South and North Indian food but I think the chefs are from South India. You know it from the food. In my humble opinion, you cannot get a more authentic South Indian style lentil curry in China than this.
