Yes, That’s An Indian Bullock Cart Right There

I was surprised to see the Indian Kitchen restaurant in Changzhou because I thought they will only be in bigger cities like Shanghai and Beijing. I was even more surprised to see a full-sized bullock cart on display on the second storey of the restaurant building. I have eaten in the Indian Kitchen restaurants many times during my 10 years in China. It was always my number-one go-to Indian restaurant chain in China. They serve fabulous South Indian dishes and I totally love these guys. But I am not so sure about their enthusiasm to promote Indian culture to the Chinese markets. In Shanghai they actually hammered an entire Indian cutlery set onto the restaurant wall. On another wall they had plastered a complete set of Indian spices organised in a stainless steel spice rack. And here, we have a real bullock cart. Maybe its just me but I find it a little loud and weird as well. Because there are other ways in which you can promote your business, for example, by using editorials in respected food magazines, leveraging celebrity endorsements, by focusing on online reviews etc. You don’t really need a bloody bullock cart on your restaurant front mate.
