I was walking in my neighbourhood one Saturday morning when I came across a promotional event for a new real estate “Yuanda Garden”. It was common to see such real estate events once every few months in my area. This was a former farmland and they were forever clearing it and building new residential compounds and shopping centres. You can even sometimes see the lights at night in some of these constructions sites as they worked for 24 hours, 7 days a week. In fact, the building activity in my area was so intense that it was unbelievable. And I always wondered about the impact to the air quality and if this was sustainable.
