I saw a two storey’s high painting of Hindu Goddess Saraswati on a building in Shenyang one day. It was baffling because there were not many Indians who are Hindus in Shenyang and I don’t think there are many Chinese Hindus in China. So who would wish for a prominent painting of a Hindu Goddess on their building in China? Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, music, art, speech, wisdom and learning. Hindu parents will always ask their kids to pray to Goddess Saraswati for success in education. I can only assume that this must be some sort of a private educational institution just trying to be unique, bold and different.
