The working class people in China are very hard working. They try to do their job and bring food to the table. They are your everyday daddies and mummies bringing up families.
In some cases, I have heard that their working conditions might not be that perfect.
I took this photo after an office retreat in a nearby town called Benzi. These ladies are roadsweepers and they are taking a short break when I asked them if I can take a picture with them and they were very obliging. They kept saying “Oh, this foreigner wants to take a picture us!”. They were giggling and talking a lot happily.
But I can only imagine the discomfort they must be enduring wearing that head cover. I presume it was because of flies. But I never found out.
