
They have an exhibition area inside the Leifeng Pagoda with a viewing gallery that shows the original pagoda’s foundations and building blocks. I thought it was pretty cool that they decided to keep parts of the old foundations so that it serves as a reminder to the future generations that China can and will always rise after a defeat. I think this is the key take away here and that corresponds to China’s history and its rise in today’s world order. But its not only about China because its a universal truth and lesson: always rise when you fall. For some reason people have been throwing notes and coins inside and this part I haven’t figured out what’s the story here.
