The Chinese people love playing cards. It is one of their favourite pastimes. You will them in many parts of China, men playing cards outside. In some neighbourhoods, there are even some designated places where they will gather regularly. A park bench, on make shift seats under a tree, a roadside tea shop etc. In all my ten years in China, I have never personally seen any quarrels or fights in these card games. Always been peaceful, quiet and happy.
