Unless there is a ban by the Chinese authorities, almost all movies come to the cinemas in China to both small and big cities. Disney pictures like Starwars, Marvel movies like Ironman, Captain America etc all are very popular in China. You will see a lot of movie propaganda and merchandising in large shopping whenever big budget movies are coming. It was the October of 2016 and a new Starwars movie, Rogue One was coming out in December. I spotted a StormTrooper in a shopping mall and quickly took a shot. I think this was the first time they cast Chinese actors into a Starwars film: Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen. Donnie Yen is one of my all time favourite Chinese action kungfu stars. He is massively famous in China. And they cast him as a blind man in the movie. I really don’t know what to say.
