In one of my weekend escapades, I took a high speed train to a nearby city called Dantong. It was close to the North Korean border and therefore had some Korean influences in the town. There were a fair number of Korean food places and they were also selling Korean dresses etc.
My main highlight of that trip was to take a ride in the river to see the shores of North Korea. It was more of a farming land at this side of the border. I could see some famers walking and going about their daily business. I think they must have been mused to see Chinese people paying RMB 100 (USD16) each to see their back yards. There are more pictures and I will add them later when I have time.
