Licenced to Drive

Nanjing. Jan 2012

In China, the taxi drivers have to display their photo identity at the front of the taxi so that passengers can see it clearly. If there’s an issue or if a complaint has to be made, the public can just snap a picture of this photo identity to make a report. This photo identity shows that these two drivers in Nanjing have the licence to drive this taxi with the licence plate A80075. I cannot remember if Singapore had a similar system back in 2009. But then again Singapore is a very small and tightly controlled police city. We used to say that the police can catch an offender or a criminal even before he/she reaches the next traffic junction.
