
In China, the taxi drivers have to display their photo identity at the front of the taxi so that passengers can see it clearly. If there’s an issue or if a complaint has to be made, the public can just snap a picture of this photo identity to make a report. This photo identity shows that these two drivers in Nanjing have the licence to drive this taxi with the licence plate A80075. I cannot remember if Singapore had a similar system back in 2009. But then again Singapore is a very small and tightly controlled police city. We used to say that the police can catch an offender or a criminal even before he/she reaches the next traffic junction.
