One day, without any kind of a decent thinking, I went on a shopping spree to buy potted flowering plants. A mindless fit to bring instant colour to my front yard that day. The flowers were pretty and small and in indigo, yellow, pink and white and they did transform the garden instantly. But due to a multitude of reasons, they didn’t last long. The rose plant on the other hand sat quietly in the corner with its roots in the ground and flowered year after year and stayed. An instant metaphor for relationships in life.
