Today, 13th Aug 2013, is Chinese Valentine’s Day. The Qixi Festival is celebrated for the annual meeting of two romantic lovers Zhinu and Niulang. Zhinu is a cowherd and Niulang is a heavenly fairy. They fell in love and started a family on earth. The Emperor of the Heaven found out and brought her back to the heaven. They were distraught but a group of magpies made a sky bridge for them to meet. The Emperor was touched seeing this and allowed them to meet once a year, every year. Since 2,600 years ago.
