We treated our Singapore auntie for lunch after visiting the Jing-an Temple. We decided to bring her to “Malaysian Fusion” to have some local favourites. We had carrot cake and fried kway teow. I have no idea why we called this carrot cake back in Singapore because it doesn’t really have any carrot in it but a sort of a white radish. And I always thought this was a Singaporean dish but it is actually a Teochew dish. Just another day when I found about more about Singapore while being in China.
