“When China rules the world” by Martin Jacques

I bought this book while holidaying in Cebu, Phllippines in 2013. I found the author’s views quite bold, radicle and thought provoking. The author is Martin Jacques, a British journalist, editor, academic and political commentator who has a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He argues that after two hundred years of Western modernism, we will enter a new era where we will realise that is no one, but many ways of being modern and that the central player in this era will be China. He predicts that China will rise and dominate world in different ways than we have known before and says China’s old tributary system will re-emerge.
