On the main road outside the farm was an interesting set-up. A guy was killing chickens and scalding them so that their feathers could be plucked out easier. And in another station made up of two large red tubs, three ladies were busy chatting while they plucked out the feathers and cleaned the chickens. I am quite sure that this is a temporary set-up for the Chinese New Year holidays as all the markets and shops have been closed. And I admire the Chinese ingenuity to make a few quick bucks during the holiday break.
