There was an area near the farm which looked a large ditch. There is an old wives’ tale that unwanted babies, especially baby girls, found their watery grave here. Traditionally farmers preferred baby boys so that they could grow-up to be strong farm hands. So if they had a baby girl, they would get rid of it here. China also had a one child population policy for a long time and if a family had one too many, some of them would end up here. Well, for all you know, this may just be a story to frighten little children from playing around here. Or a real true horror.
