Chinese barbecue food, also known as Shaokao in Chinese. You take a tray and pick what you want. Enoki mushrooms wrapped in tofu sheets. Chicken wings. Long green peppers. Fish balls. Tofu cubes. You have many options. The vendor will then season and barbecue it while you wait. You then get this perfectly spiced and grilled barbecue food on sticks that will want you to kneel down and become a slave to this barbecue stall. I have eaten most of the barbecue food here over the years in Shenyang. Not many people know it, but Shenyang is a paradise for barbecue food. I didn’t know it before I went there. I couldn’t forget it after I left.
