After couple of months of riding second-hand bicycles exploring my new neighbourhood, I decided to buy a new bicycle. I took a cab to Decathlon, the French sports superstore and selected a yellow bike called “Rockrider”. I then cycled to the nearest metro station to find out that they wouldn’t allow a bike in the train. I have seen people bring construction tools, freight boxes etc into the train and why not a bicycle? But there was no choice and I cycled the new bike all the way, 21km to home that night. Eventually I had many more adventures with this bike until it was stolen from outside my apartment one day. That’s a story for another time.
