This is the Kempinski Hotel in Shenyang, a five-star German luxury hotel. Sometimes some of our company’s key events are held here. One day we had an important department event here which ended with a buffet dinner. The next day, many of our colleagues called in sick and it became clear that the buffet shellfishes were contaminated. I am certain that the hotel would have received our company’s feedback about this incident. And I am also sure that, that feedback would have mattered to them because we were the largest company in the city and the province. Myself, I was spared from food poisoning simply because I don’t eat shellfish.
