It takes 50 minutes to go downtown by Metro. A cab costs me more and will take a longer time because of traffic. From my home, it is the beginning of the line and I have plenty of seat options. It is a different story returning back. The train is always packed. I normally can only find a seat towards the end of my ride. Living in Singapore, I had my own car. In Shanghai, I took cabs most of the time. It was in Shenyang that I used Metro the most in my life. Until I moved to Melbourne and started taking train daily to go to my downtown office for one of my contracts. The Metro experience coming back home was no better either. It was also packed.
