The maple trees showing off their golden colours during the autumn was a big attraction at the Guanmenshan mountains in Benzi. But I was too late as the autumn season was almost over. There are no yellow or red leaves in any of the trees. There was even a tree that was marked as the first tree that would change colour during the autumn but it was of course green now. But I think visiting the mountains for a hike is always a wonderful idea especially if you are living in a busy industrial city like Shenyang. Nature always has a way of nourishing your soul while teaching you something. This time the lesson was, time waits for no man.
