Pollution will continue to be a long-term challenge for China. It will take many years before a sustained public education program by the government can bear fruit. For the time being, major cities, roads and tourist attractions are always kept clean by armies of efficient road sweepers and cleaners. Parks and nature areas are also not spared. Here in the Guanmenshan mountain in Benxi, it looks like a cleaner has gathered all the litter in that area to be cleared away. While we cannot run away from the issues of littering immediately, I am happy to see that the mountain authorities are putting in these efforts to keep the mountain litter-free.
