Almost every time when I was staying in a hotel for any holidays, there will be at least one wedding taking place. I have actually never been to a wedding in China and therefore I was always curious about the local wedding customs. In Dongshan Hotel in Anshan, they had set-up a large arch ballon at the hotel entrance which is quite common. And there was a flurry of activities in the hotel lobby with people queuing up near a table. In Chinese weddings, they actually collect your red packet with money inside and record down the amount in a red book. This is to help them to reciprocate a red packet of the same value when the the time comes.
