There was a section inside the Leifeng Pagoda where they have depicted the Legend of the White Snake via beautiful wood carvings on a long stretch of wall. The Legend of the White Snake is a very popular Chinese legend and has been the subject of many Chinese operas, films, television series, books and poems. Its basically the story of a man who fall in love with a white snake disguised as a woman.
