
I normally had very small kitchens in my apartments when I lived in China, especially when I was working in Beijing as above, but I think it was enough for me because I didn’t cook everyday. I ate most of the time outside because eating out was cheap in China and it was also more convenient for me after work. But there were some occasions when I did cook something Singaporean or Indian for myself or for my neighbors or friends. Here I am cooking a South Indian style fish curry based on a handwritten recipe book I brought from Singapore.
