Some weekend mornings I find myself in Starbucks, a short walking distance from my former apartment’s main gate and still near to the hotel I was staying. It is still normally empty at around 7-8am. During my 10 years in China, if I wanted to have a coffee outside, I went to Starbucks most frequently, followed by Costa Coffee and Pacific Coffee. Although I was perfectly comfortable in local Chinese cafes and restaurants, sometimes I did make a trip to the Western cafes for a more authentic coffee experience. But it does look like I bought ice lemon tea this particular morning.
