I organised a wet and wild birthday party for my daughter’s 11th birthday during the hot summer of 2013. Eleven of her best mates arrived at our house and we gave out goodie bags and they had some finger food. They then played water games at our front yard before heading off to our compound’s swimming pool for more water fun. When they came back, they had board games, party food and a cake cutting. This was the first time my daughter had a real proper birthday party. She was happy. I was happy.
