One day I brought my family to the Shanghai Museum on the People’s Square. The building itself was not very impressive from the outside but once inside, it was world-class. The museum was five storeys’ high with 21 categories housing 120,000 bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, jades, ancient coins, paintings, seals, sculptures etc art pieces. It was really massive and I was surprised that they did not charge an admission fee. If you are in Shanghai and you have time for only one museum, I would say go here.
