
I was actually surprised to see some turtles at the seafood section of the wet market. You can be rest assured that they were not being sold as pets. And they were also selling live frogs tied together in a net. These neighbourhood wet markets are highly regulated by the government and I don’t think any mum and pop stall here would be selling anything illegal here else they will loose their livelihood. I also understood that the turtles and frogs were mainly bought by some restaurants and by a few rich people and were not in everyone’s everyday shopping list.
