Farms are more into sustainable living than the cities

A small farm in China. 2016

At least I managed to find out that most of the farms in this area were corn farms. After harvesting the corns, the farmers found ways of using the rest of the parts of the plant. For example, the plant is dried and used as firewood for cooking and perhaps for heating as well. This was clear because I found them stacked outside practically every house in the farm. And I found them stacked both outside and inside elder Mr Liu’s house. We truly live differently in the cities. We buy the corns in the supermarket, come home, turn on the heaters and cook the corns on our stoves. In terms of sustainable living, farms are ahead of us.
