I relocated from Shanghai to Shenyang to join BMW in Jan 2014. I faced personal changes on several fronts at that time. I was new to the company, new to the job (I was transitioning from corporate communications to a change management role) and I was new to the city. Six months later, I was less anxious. I had set-up a good pace learning my new role. I was assigned to support a large process optimization program. It was a tough project but this is where I cut my teeth in change management. During one of those days, my German boss invited us for dinner after work. Korean food with a bottle of beer was a great way to wind down.
