This is a very old building, probably a couple of hundred years old, in the Shenyang Imperial Palace. I don’t even think its photographed or talked about because its not one of the main or prominently located buildings in the palace. But I was drawn to it. The three-rowed ornate roofing. The way the columns, windows and its shutters repeat in a symmetrical pattern. But the design element I love the most is the way the master builders have used the simplicity of two colours, emerald green and grey, to create a sense of elegance and sophistication. When everyone else walked pass, I stopped to take a photo because for me this was beautiful.
