Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a highly respected practice in both Singapore and Australia with government approved doctors and hospitals offering an alternative health care and therapy. Needless to say, in China, traditional Chinese medicine is highly popular and you can find many pharmacies and doctors in every neighbourhood. Here in a street in Anshan, someone has gathered herbs and roots from the rural lands and has set-up a roadside shop. It is of course recommended to buy such medicinal herbs from properly licenced traditional Chinese pharmacies but for some people who are living it hard, this offers an option.
